e.s.e

Am feeling better after the rant in my last post, and it's nice to know tt there are people who care, one way or the other, even if we haven't spoken in a while.

My enhanced.school.experience. has started, won't be stating which school it is right here, but for those who wants to know, you can always ask me. Initially I was a tad unhappy abt being posted to a school so far from my place (read: 35 mins bus journey in the morning) and having to wake especially early at 5.45 am just to make it to school barely in time for the morning assembly. But then I was pleasantly surprised tt my school isn't tt much a typical neighbourhood school - it's supposedly one of the better neighbourhood schools in the west. Again though - it's still too early to pass judgement, cos I've only been observing the lessons and not actually teaching the kids yet.

School life has turned my whole sleep clock upside down; I now go to bed latest by midnight, and I've been taking 2-hour naps the past 2 days to make up for the tiredness I feel. Even though I'm just observing (think: slack!) and haven't gone round to planning my lesons for the 3rd/4th week (I started a little bit today tho!), I'm still really tired after I knock off. Which accounts for the afternoon naps.

Monday is Youth Day! Hah means tt it's a holiday and tt's no school for me! *lalala* Though Mondays are free days for me since I have no periods assigned, but then it beats having to go down to school just to stare at my laptop and textbooks for half the day.

I'm nervous about having to teach starting the 3rd week - even though I taught for four months previously, but tt was four years ago, and I'm really rusty at handling a classroom and managing the kids. But it must be done, and I hope I'll gain the confidence as time goes by. (:

p.s. oh yah and I've been really good abt my shopping ban - I've bought my white shirt, and a f21 dress, and tt was 2 weeks ago. See! But the ban's lifted come 12 July! Hee
