happie 25th and 6th

Friday was the boyfriend's 25th birthday! It was also the day of release of results, as well as our 6th month anniversary! I can't believe tt we've been together for 6 mths already. But I must also add tt these 6 mths were one of the best I've ever had (=

All along I've been planning to give the boyfriend a surprise for his birthday - smthg sweet and memorable for the first birthday tt we spend together. And I've been into baking nowadays, so I decided to bake a cake for Chong! Not only tt, my game plan consisted of going over to his place the night before to give him a surprise!

After searching online for various recipes, I settled for the Almond Nutella cake, and modified it so tt instead of swirls on the top, it would be a nutella-filled heart instead!

The heart design took me almost 20 minutes to get it right, and I must say tt I'm quite satisfied with the end result [knowing the almost non-existent artistic skills tt I possess].

After finding out tt the boyfriend wld end work at 11pm tt night, I drove down hurriedly to his place... only to wait more than an hour for him to reach home! While he was out having supper, I whined abt how sleepy I was at home and how I was watching my korean drama; while in reality I was at his place, watching tv with his mum. Hah!

I initially wanted to hide in his room and give him a "boo!" when he came in, but unfortunately his mum and I were so happily chatting loudly tt Chong peeped into his window through the corridor, only to see a fleeting glimpse of me running away. My surprise was half-ruined! -wails- But he was still surprised and touched tt I turned up, and he blew out the candle on my pretty home-baked cake! (:

On his birthday and on our anniversary itself, we caught Pirates 3 and had a yummylicious dinner at The Secret Garden - and the owner was very nice in helping me out with a surprise desert for the boyfriend, complete with a candle on the brownie! No pics of tt, cos Chong was too embarrassed, I think, tt he blew the candle out very quickly. Hah.

And he surprised me with the giant Kuma-kuma stuff toy! Its like, really huge and taking up alot of space on the sofa [the current place of residence]. Although Chong had previously mentioned tt he'd be getting tt for me, I never expected it to be so soon! Hee

And so I am a happy girl. And I hope he's a happy boy too! (=

On a down note, the boyfriend's leaving for Brunei this coming Wed for a whole month. That's a whole bloody month tt he'll be gone. *sigh* I hate it but I have no choice but to live with it. Hopefully we'll be able to webcam and I can still see him, albeit over the distance. If I have a private jet I could fly down there on weekends, but then, I don't! Hrmph.

The only positive thing I can see out of this is tt absence will make the heart fonder - and tt the boyfriend will miss me so much tt he realizes he can't live without me! Hee I shall hope for tt.

p.s. oh as for results - well, I managed to stay within my class of honours, and so, finally, I am a graduate! (:
