meet-up with 38s

Monday was the long-awaited meet-up dinner session with the 38s - with the exception of Qing who was busy with work and then a dental appt. Nevertheless, 4 out of 5 isn't too bad, and we shld do it more often when time permits!

Went shopping with Candice prior to meeting Eups n Linliyi; but shopping isn't fun at all when your hands and pockets are tied. Need to replenish the kitty before more shopping can be done. I've compiled a wish-list tho [or rather, not so much a wishlist, since I intend to get them in 2 weeks time, after tuition pay comes in! Hee]

Things thou desire:

• Adidas jacket, in the style of blue & violet [updated 21st Jan: finally bought it; and am so loving it! (:]
• Wallet [I've seen a few in Isetan; must get it before their 20% sale ends 28 Jan] [this has to be kiv-ed]
• Cologne for the boyfriend

Got The Memory Keeper's Daughter for Andrea's birthday, and tt girl is sweet! She asked if we wanted to go for lunch after yesterday's L.P.P seminar [the dots are there so it makes searching for module titles on blog search engines harder - I do not want my blog to be found out that easily] and so we went over to Fong Seng for food. When it was time to pay, she refused to let us pay her back, and said tt it was her treat!

*exasperated* She's always doing this; note to self: offer to pay first next time!

Back to the 38 meet-up session - we decided to have dinner at Fish&Co. Food was alright, but what gave me a shock was the drink I ordered! Look at it:

Look at it in comparison to the two glasses next to it. When I ordered a Big Fish drink, I never expected tt it wld really be a big drink for fishes. I guess it lives up to its literal name then. Heh. Mine was the Jungle Freeze - a very nice mix of pineapple & rambutan, I love!

By the way if you think my top looks a tad weird, tt's cos its my cardigan. It was rather cold and I decided to wrap myself in it. Heh.

Post-dinner we wanted to go somewhere to sit, chill and chat; but we also wanted to be economically smart; so I suggested Macs! Hah. Its such a good idea - just get one drink and we could sit there to chat [one drink, as our passport, since our tummies were all full from the food]

Our narcisstic selves demanded tt we take photos, so we took aplenty! But not all will be put up here, of course. Some are rather embarrassing. Hah! Group photo time:

Eups has a grumpy face! She sort-of spoilt an otherwise nice photo; but since she looks rather cute in her own sort of way, I shall forgive her and post this pic of us up still. Hee

And to round up, a pretty group pic tt we took at Fish&Co; where we had rather nice waitresses waiting on us. Service is friendly there too, they deserve a commendation! (:

9 more days before Chong comes home, and this time round, at least he won't have to leave again till end May. Which is good, since I don't think I can cope very well in a relationship where my boyfriend has to travel too often for work. *lalala*
