forbidden fruit!

Haven't blogged for about a week now, and tt's saying quite a lot for my emotional stability, isn't it? Unfortunately, uncle_foolish had a setback in his emotional healing process, but hey guy, stay strong and don't let all these past work go to nothing alright? Must learn from me to look on the positive side of things, just see how fast I've moved on! (:

I met up with Melinda lately, and she was telling me about her current romantic dilemma. Seems like she has developed a crush on a guy she has gotten to know recently. Thing is, she has "known" him in the sense that they see each other around in campus; but they've never spoken until very recently, when she decided to initiate conversation with him.

She realized they could hit it off quite well, and enjoyed her conversations with him. And she thinks she may be developing a crush on him.

Problem? He's already attached.

And so she was asking me on what should she do - on one hand she really enjoys the time she gets to spend with him, but on the other she knows too tt he is forbidden fruit and she's not supposed to take a bite. At all.

My take? Well I told her that having crushes are pretty normal, especially since he's totally her type and she likes conversing with him. But where should she draw the line? If the guy does not feel the same way, there shld be no harm in having a crush on him right?

And if the guy should develop a crush back on her [while still being attached - trust me, these things do happen], should she go for it? It wld mean going against what is ascribed as morals and ethics in our society; and she may end up being labelled as a bitch, but then again, love is selfish; and one should fight for love, right?

I spoke to liyi about it on our yet-again-another-spontanous-date; and well, we both think tt we shld fight for love, if we believe tt it can really work out between both parties.

So Melinda, if you're reading this, I wld say, a crush is harmless, but don't do anything impulsive unless you're really sure you want to take the risk. After all, the guy may just be the friendly and nice to everyone type, okie? (:

Dropped by vivo with my hot date, liyi, and we spent time analyzing the lives of some *really screwed up people tt we know [the usual bitching] as well as enjoying the view of Sentosa/the sea in the midst of the haze. I had fun tho, as I always do when I meet up with my girlfriends (:
