the updates

Here I am, to do my updates, finally.

(i) I guess the biggest news that I have to share would be that the Boyfriend and I are now engaged! I *did* see the proposal coming; but I didn't really expected it to be during our recent June getaway to Bintan. I love the ring.. but to be frank, I didn't really love the proposal. Haha! It was not as romantic as I had hoped it wld be; but nevertheless, I did say 'yes' and we are now engaged!

I had really wanted a Tiffany's, and the Fiance granted my wish by buying me one as my engagement ring! As soon as I saw that blue box I knew he had fulfilled my dreams of owning a Tiffany's. Hee. I know that I had dropped hints, BUT I really didn't expect him to buy me one. (:

We are going to have our solemnisation in June 2010; and the customary in 2-3 yrs time, depending on how his travel plans go [more on tt in point (ii)]. I'm quite excited, really, and I can't wait for us to be bound together in union! (=


(ii) The second news wld be tt the Fiance will be going overseas for a period of 2 years - to the States, to be precise. It's a work deployment thingy, and the initial plan of being posted by end 2009 has actually been delayed. We're now hoping it'll be after our solemnisation - so tt we won't be kept apart in the period of preparation.

And how does this affect me? Well, I'll be going with him, as his spouse in accompaniment. To do this, I will have to apply for NPL - and I am crossing my fingers that it wld be approved. I don't want to be apart from him for 2 yrs! I know I'll never survive a long-distance relationship for so long.


(iii) We've bought our wedding bands! The entire process is really quite sweet actually, knowing tt you're both shopping for something that you're going to wear forever. Looking at designs; discussing which ones we like; talking about it... I'm glad we both found smthg tt we both like a lot (: Apart from wedding bands, we're also frequently discussing wedding plans - and though there are times when all the information gets a little overwhelming, I'm glad tt we're doing this as a couple, and deciding on things together as well. (:

Hmm I guess tt's abt all the personal updates tt I have so far. Work-wise, I'm coping, but I must admit tt there are times when I am a little bored, and tired of my job. Hopefully these feelings will pass.
