truly on holiday
Sipping at my cup of hot cereal mix this morning (okay, it wasn't really morning morning, since it was 11am) and checking my emails, it dawned on me that I was really on holiday. Friends who know me know tt my mum never allows me to sleep past 9am, even on sch holidays or on weekends - but this time around, my mum lets me sleep till 10am before she wakes me up to tell me she's off to work. And of course, after she leaves, I go back to zzz-land till abt 10.45, where my body clock will automatically wake me up.

I spend the day either slacking, tidying up my room (I've thrown away abt 85% of stuff), watching dvds, or catching up with friends if I have appointments with them. Night comes ard, I'm either playing online games with the Boyfriend, chatting with him and with friends, or online shopping/surfing.
Life's good, isn't it? (=
I wldn't be so relaxed if not for the fact tt I know tt I have a job waiting for me, with an income that is rather comfortable (at this stage of my life) as well. If I hadn't been accepted by m*e, I wld most probably be in a state of stress by now - sending out resumes and praying fervently tt someone wld call me in for interviews. It's not tt I'm being mean to friends who haven't found jobs yet; it's just tt I'm thankful that I have - and that I do not need to worry endlessly about it.
While packing my drawers yesterday, I came across a piece of paper, in which I had written down "predictions" by this Master Khor, a well-known figure in n.u.s. bazaars. I'm not really superstitious, but I belong to the group of "can-listen-but-take-everything-with-a-pinch-of-salt" when it comes to things like palm-readings and fortune-telling.
I then remembered that he told me tt 2007 wld be a "best" year for me - tt things wld go smoothly along my way in this year. I did this reading sometime in early 2006, so now tt it's already 2007, I can reflect on what he said.
*hmm* well, so far [note: so far] things have been going rather well. Family, the Boyfriend, friends, graduating from n.u.s. with my class of honours, getting into n*e... let's hope the remaining 6 months will also prove to be smooth sailing then! (=
