through the grapevine

I heard through the grapevine last night tt exams results had been unexpectedly leaked; and that you could check your results at the usual site.

I didn't rush to check my results for two reasons: (i) I don't really want to know how badly I've done this semester [what with the lack of motivation + papers tt I'm not confident of]; and (ii) I didn't trust the grapevine. Hah.

It was only till just now when I was doing my daily blog-voyeuring tt I read of someone who had managed to check our results online, and tt was when I really believed the news and went to try it out myself.

Alas, I think the leak has been fixed and now I can't access my results. The site just states tt I have to wait till Boxing Day to receive my xmas present from the faculty.

Oh well. It must have been not meant to be! (= Shall wait patiently then, like how I've been waiting for Chong to come home [finally, its 3 more days!]
