post-21

wow. time flies and it has been a week since I turned 21. And even though the move from 20 to 21 is subtle and sneaks past all of us, unconsciously I think we all feel a tad older. For me at least - now tt the fuss over everything has settled down, it just dawns on me tt I've lived for two decades + one year; and that's like... a quarter of my life tt has just gone by.

And you wonder: what have I accomplished in these 2 decades?

Well, I'm just thankful tt all is going quite well in my life - family, health [tho' I wish I cld be thinner!] and love. Family is mostly alright except for my brother, who's really being a rebel in all tt he does [he went to have a 3rd tattoo done just last week]; I haven't had an asthma attack since I was 14; and I have a boyfriend who loves me and whom I feel the same way about! Academic-wise I'm also in a comfortable stage...and sometimes when things are going too well, won't you wonder if perhaps, all this can be taken from you in a split second? Tt's why its impt to be thankful :)

The chevrons chalet was really pretty [before all the mess, tt is. heh] and though there were a few hiccups at the start of the party, at least it went pretty well from there! The Boyfriend had to drive me home to pick up my heels & miscellaneous, and I was pretty much in a frenzy bcos my friends arrived before the specified time! Ack. And altho' they didn't stay till late - at least we had a chance to bitch abt pple + life in general! heh.

The mahjong session after everyone left was quite tramautising - playing against three opponents who have had tons of experience was quite nerve-wrecking; but the Boyfriend wasn't frazzled at all! I'm just glad to see tt my parents are accepting the Boyfriend as family - to have 'ordered' him to help them with the bbq and basically leaving me in his charge. :) oh and since none of my friends cld stay, they let me and the Boyfriend stay over by ourselves! And tt's a major sign of trust tt I shld never betray. Hee

Exams are coming in 10 days [shit!] and after tt its a month of holidays to look forward to - and I intend to slack my days away! Hee. Wld like to get away for a short weekend trip tho'... *hmm*
