xmas boo!

Finally, after a week of sitting on my butt and pressing "transfer" on the phone system, here I am back to update!~ The recep job is really as boring as I thought it wld be, and the only saving grace is tt I can bring a book to read and while time away. Initially I thought tt I wld have to read in secret; but then my supervisor commented on how reading books make her sleepy - and hey! Since then I stopped shoving my book into the small corner whenever I hear footsteps on the stairs. Hee.

But it means tt I require an endless supply of books to keep me occupied, and "old" books ie those I've read before, don't really work in keeping me distracted. Hence this meant several trips to the library, since I can almost complete reading a novel in a day. And yes, they are the usual trashy romance novels tt I normally peruse, I mean, how can I concentrate on a good book while my attention is diverted? Heh

X'mas Eve was a day I looked forward to, since I wld be having a half-day. However, the sad thing is tt New Year's Eve will not be one [no idea why? want to torture us poor souls?] and now I feel miserable about having to work on 31st. Sigh. Met the Boyfriend after my half-day and proceeded to troop down West Coast looking for wu-gui food for my 3 bao-beis wu-gui, and went back to my place together and exchanged xmas pressies!! =) I had a boxful of stuff from my honey - one of which was a book. And even before I unwrapped it, I had guessed the title correctly~ Hee. But it shows tt the Boyfriend remembers what I like. Good good.

Went for dinner together with my parents and we had Crystal Jade! Yummy. Followed by the collection of my ring! *blingbling* It looks really pretty sitting on my finger, and I'm now lured by the temptation of getting more, in future of course. Yupz. The roads of Orchard were super packed, expectedly, and we spent most time avoiding pple who kept spraying foam-y stuff on one another. Gross.

You guys must watch Meet the Fockers cos its terribly funny! Serious. I was even laughing after I came out of the cinema, and I think its a good festive-season movie. Yay tommorow is off-day and I get to go shopping with the Boyfriend again~

Post-xmas sale, here I come! Hee
