home project

These two days the house is filled with a horrible smell - the smell of freshly coated walls of paint. Yucks. I hate the smell and it gives me headaches. I think home projects such as these give my mum the propensity to nag and act like a horrible insane mad woman. These two mornings I couldn't wait to see her leave the house for work. Thank goodness she stays out of everyone's hair for 10 hours; or we'll all be as frustrated as her.

Not much has been happening - just zipping around for driving, meeting friends and miscellaneous. Met up with qing and candice last night for dinner at pasta mania, and though it was a short meet-up, I'm glad we did (: candice seems to be happily settling in to her attached-mode, while qing and I *sometimes* deal with problems relationships bring. Oh well. Part and parcel of everything I guess.

Yin's off to korea; and I just realised I miss her! Heh. Really want to hit the shops and go shopping, but have to wait till she's back.

Was just talking to candice abt friendship, friends and personal privacy - with best friends, how close is the line you draw when it comes to personal decisions and privacy? I guess I'm quite a private person, since I seldom let on abt any problems I might be facing in my life, except when I just so happen to meet up with da-jie and er-jie and I just feel like getting their opinions on smthg. As much as I wish I cld have friends like Miranda & Carrie where I can call them up in the middle of the night if I had a burning question/a need to talk to someone; I don't think I'm a person who subscribes to such notions of friendship. I guess to me, friends are there when you need someone to listen to your woes, but they are not people who will cater to your every need and fancy i.e rushing over to the person when she needs a shoulder to cry on in the middle of the night.

Oh. Do you know tt Jolene is actually a male? I only found out myself when I brought her to the vet; only to be told tt she was actually a he! So I have renamed him Jo_Lee [like Bruce_Lee]. No wonder he ignores me whenever I went "girl girl". Need to give him his shots. (:
